Yeah Me!!

After a long day at work, I got home to find out I made it to round 1 of Digiscrap Addicts' SYTYCD contest!! I'm so excited!! I've already begun jotting down notes for a kit. Now I have the difficult task of choosing which palette to use. LOL

I can't wait to see what the other designers create as well. There are some pretty awesome designers who made it through, I'm very honored to be among them.

My CT Members & I have been busy little bees lately! They've been creating some pretty awesome layouts & I've been creating some pretty awesome goodies!! If I don't say so myself. LOL
The newest item in the store is a fun, brightly hued paper pack; Baby Oh Baby. The color theme is more Spring-like than typical baby colors, but as you can see, these papers work well for just about anything.

It's season 2. How did I miss Season 1?!?!? Anyway, I thought it might be fun to give it a shot. Hey, worst case I have fun, & you get some cool freebies. Best case, I get a year of free advertising!! I just sent my application for the preliminary round. My fingers are crossed I make it!! I'm sure there are going to be hundreds of seasoned as well as new designers trying for that awesome grand prize. Wish me luck!!

For now, I'm taking the weekend off {starting tomorrow} to relax with the kiddos. Between my designing & putting my sister's web site together, my hand has cramped, my neck & shoulders are in knots & my eyes are grainy & blurry!!

Some News

I was supposed to take down my freebie blog the end of March. I guess I missed that deadline!! LOL I'm going to leave it up for another week, then the freebies will definitely be retired.
I've also been busy working on some new items, coming soon to the store. Be sure to be on the look out for those.
And I will be announcing my new CT members next week as well. For now, I will be going back to designing.

They mentioned her photo tips, so I stopped by to read them & found so much more. She's a very funny lady who gives the reader a peek at her life on a cattle ranch, as well as giving tips on gardening, homeschooling & even has yummy recipes!! Busy, Busy, Busy

It turned out that Mom & I only built one shelf yesterday. She needed to go to the hardware store for more wood, so we just called it a day & hung out the rest of the day. My younger sister was there & sick as a dog. The flu has been going around & many are saying it's a beast. So hopefully if that's what she has, the girls & I don't get it. I can handle it. The girls on the other hand, get so whinny & can't function. And Lord help me if Hubby gets sick! LOL Is it just my man or do all men act like they're dying when they get the slightest cold??? LOL
Today I finished up my newest kit & uploaded to the store. I'm not real big on St. Patrick's Day, but this kit has just a touch of the Irish in it. Seamus is a lightly shabby kit in sea foam green {although green is my favorite color, I hate kelly green!! LOL}. This way it's usable all year round for all types of layouts!!

Exhaustion

I have been working on re-vamping my sister's web site, as well as taking pictures of what seems like thousands of pieces of jewelry, for the past 2 days. My head is hurting, my eyes are blurry & my wrist is aching. Time to quit. I was working on a new kit; most of it's done ~ I just need to make the preview & package it all up. But I no longer have the energy. I was going to upload more freebies too, but that just takes too much energy!! LOL
Tomorrow I'm taking the kids to Mom's house where I'll be helping her organize her sewing rooms {yes she has 2} & building shelves. an all day project. I've come to the conclusion her sewing rooms will never be really organized. She has so much fabric & notions it's difficult to know where to start. And she keeps buying more!!! LOL I keep telling her she has a problem & needs FA {Fabricaholics Anonymous}!! LOL
I'm off to get some dinner for me & the girls then surfing the channels & vegging for the rest of the night....
