The Start of a Busy Week

Yes, my week has already been a busy one. Work was crazy!! I love it when it's like that ~ the day goes by so much faster. I didn't finish up until 5:00, then had to rush home, make dinner & get Savannah off to Cheer try-outs by 6:00. Thankfully, work, home, & schools are all within a 3 mile radius of each other, so travel time is minimal!! And tonight Riley has a band & choir concert at 6:10, plus Savannah's try-outs at 6:00!! Talk about crunch time!!! LOL

In other news ~ We got the truck back ~ how happy I am about that!! It looks good, except the dent is still in the side, so we'll have to save up to get that fixed. Our niece is doing great. She's back in school, but I believe it's still for just 1/2 a day. She is getting stronger and has been standing for short periods of time with her "boots" on. She even went to the pool last weekend for some sun & a little {very little} bit of swimming!!

Day Off

I did not forget about you guys, or part 22, yesterday!! I took a much needed day away from the computer. I let the girls take turns on it all day to play computer games {after they cleaned their room & did some laundry!!} I went on a cleaning spree ~ the dust has accumulated to the point where I couldn't ignore it anymore!! My house is clean, just dusty. It's one of those things that has to be done every-other day, & I just don't have the time {or energy!!!} for it.

Well, enough rambling, today is part 22 & 23 for your enjoyment ~

I said I was going to be chillin' today, & I sure am!! I slept in until 7 AM {I never sleep that late unless I'm sick!!!} ran to the market real quick, played a few computer games, and now at 3 PM, am posting today's goodies!! LOL

So Tired

Who would've thought that a slow week would exhaust me!!?? I've been in bed every night this week about 8-9:00 PM, except on Wed. {have to watch LOST!} and Thurs. {can't miss ER!}, and all I want to do today is crawl back into bed & sleep until noon. Yesterday was a bit busier, so I'm hoping today is even more so. Otherwise I just might fall asleep at my desk!! I work so much better under pressure & in a bit of chaos!! My boss has even noticed my brain has become a bit like Jell-o!! LOL Here's looking forward to a lazy, relaxing weekend....

Another Day, Another Piece

I am not looking forward to going to work today. This week has been soooo slow and boring!!! I work for a company that makes custom iron work; like front entry doors, gates, fencing, stair & balcony railing, etc. I do all the scheduling for the installers {2 crews}, all the sales reps {3}, and the general manager, as well as handling warranty issues & product status. This usually keeps me very busy, with very little down time until I leave, which is supposed to be 4:00, but usually is later. My boss {the GM} & I have got all but 3 "problem" accounts handled, and most of the customers updated on their product status, so I'm begging him to give me something to do!! I think today he's going to have me call & send out mailers to local builders, to see if they need any of the products we offer. Not my most favorite thing to do, but at least it's something!! My fingers are crossed for busier day today!!

A Top Model Photo Shoot

Savannah is totally into America's Next Top Model, and has been setting up photo shoots with her sisters & taking self portraits. I pretty much don't take pictures anymore!! This past weekend she set up a shoot and she did the girls makeup, wardrobe, and hair, was the photo shoot directer & the photographer!! She also took some pics of herself. Take a look at what she did ~ it's pretty darn good! She did her shoot in the "O-Couture" style, Darien is "Goth", and Riley is "Wood Fairy". She actually got upset w/ Riley, because she was not followng directions, she was getting too "posy" and not giving her more natural poses and facial expressions. She already sounds like a photographer/photo shoot directer to me!! LOL

I've already begun scrapping them!! You'll have to wait to see the LOs though. Now on to the good stuff ~ part 18 ~ a plaid paper & satin bow ~

Title

This is another one of those posts where I can't think of a clever title. I think what I'll do when I can't think of one is just write some silly sentence. Ya know, like, "Picking Kiwi in Hawaii"!! LOL
Did you see I added Slide to my Blog?? Did ya?? Did ya?? I thought it was time to show off some of my LOs and my kits. I've got do some playing around with the kit previews though. I think they're too small. What do you think?? Anyway, today is going to be one of those lazy Sundays. We're going to hang out by the pool, then later this afternoon watch "The Breakup". Yup, today's post is much later than usual. It's Saturday, I'm entitled. LOL
I was up at 6, did a couple loads of laundry, fixed the vacuum cleaner then vacuumed, went to the bank & grocery store, and spent 2 hours in Wal-Mart!! I took the younger 2 since they had some money saved up. They were the ones who took so long, trying to decide what to spend it on!! So on to today's little goodies ~ A button & ric rac ~

I just got home from work & was reading my emails, and couldn't help but laugh. {The girls think I'm losing it!! LOL} Maybe I should have a fear of the number 13 since I uploaded part 12 again!! That's what happens when I try to rush things in the morning & have to nag Savannah to get a move on, her hair looks just fine. Which is probably the wrong thing for a mother to say!! Rain & Trixadexaphobia

It's a tad rainy here & all I want to do is crawl back into bed with a good trashy novel!! But I have to get kids to school & myself to work :( It wouldn't matter much anyway, being that I live in AZ & the rain won't last. I'm sure later this morning the sun will make an appearance. Ha! Even as I type this, the sun has broken through the clouds!!

So, today is Friday the 13th. Anyone out there have a fear of that number, especially on a Friday?? I sure don't ~ my birthday is August 13th!!! {I was born on a Sunday!} To me it's just another day of the week.

Oh, man, Savannah just interrupted me to ask to borrow my tweezers & I forgot what I was going to say!!! She has become such a high maintenance 13 yr old. Much to her dismay, I won't let her wear makeup, but she still has to pluck her eyebrows, shave her legs & "pits", and of course there is the hair. Oh, the hours she has spent on her hair! Again, my mother revels in the fact she is so into constantly messing with it. It's payback, she says. I was the same way & drove her mad, making everyone late while they wait for me to get my hair fixed just right! Ahhh, the joys of raising a teenage girl {& I've got 2 more to go through!!!}

Missing Pieces Parts

I've gotten a few request for various parts of FernLili's Fresh Freebie people have missed {like parts 8 & 9!}. At the end of the month the kit will be put on the sale rack of the store for an incredible, unbelievable, you've got to be outta yer mind, low, low price. So don't fret if you've missed a piece. Thank you for all your kind words for Savannah. She now has a very sore throat & neck. I think a couple more days rest & Mom's cure-all {next to Bag Balm & Listerine!!} a bowl of chicken soup. I've got her drinking lots of OJ, & trying to get Hubby to have her gargle w/ salt water through out the day. Not always easy since he hates to hear her {or any of the girls} complain & whine in pain. But as a parent, you gotta do what you gotta do. Even if the kids hate it. Haven't we heard thousands of times "It's for your own good"??? Now I'm repeating it to my kids. Oh, how my mother loves to hear that all those things I hated hearing from her, I'm now saying to my girls!! LOL

Icky Sickies

Well, it seems like Savannah's stomach ache may have been more than just a little nothing. Last night we went to a cheer leading meeting for the up coming school year {she'll be a Junior in high school! EEEKKKK!!!!} and although she said her stomach didn't hurt, she had a migraine and felt dizzy. I figured this was due to the fact she didn't eat much all day. We got home about 7 PM & she went to bed around 7:30 PM. Now this morning she's saying her throat hurts a lot. I guess she'll be staying home w/ dad today. And I'm getting the start of a head ache. And Darien is complaining her ear hurts. {Her ear drum tends to get swollen when allergies act up}. But, hey, yesterday at work it was quiet & not as hectic as my Monday's usually are!! I'm hoping for more of the same today.

Manic Monday

You know that Bangles song from the 80's?? That's how I feel this morning. Savannah is complaining of a stomach ache & has thrown up. I never know when to take it seriously ~ it's not uncommon for her to have a stomach ache & vomit on a Monday. Makes me wonder what's happening on Mondays to cause it. She says nothing, & usually after a shower, and a little breakfast she's just fine. Riley & Darien are fighting over who gets the box of Captn' Crunch to read & who gets to do the puzzle in pen. Next will be an argument over who gets the shower first & that the towel Darien used belongs to Riley, not her. And now Savannah just wants to lay on the couch & do nothing. I hope this is not an indication of how my day at work is going to be!!

Easter Loot

Unbelievably, I scrapped pics the same day they were taken!! I never do that!! So I stopped by to show off what I did. The photos were taken by Savannah {I now rarely take any!! LOL} except, of course, the one of herself. Riley took that one. It looks like they have a ton of candy, but they really don't ~ their buckets are filled with Easter grass and the candy is all on top! So here it is for you to ohh & ahh over ~
