Well, almost! LOL! Now that the hustle & bustle of the Christmas season is over, I can relax & enjoy all the kids' toys!! LOL! Hubby got Riley a Nintendo DS ~ what fun we've ALL had with that game!!! Anyway, I had many requests for missing pieces of Funkafied Christmas & trying to keep track of who missed what part was just too much. {Remember, I'm just getting over Holiday fever AND had all those misbehaving ribbons to deal with!} So ~ what do I do so everyone is happy & gets all the pieces-parts? I'm begining to hate titles. Some days I just can't think of one. Today is one of those days!! LOL! I'm feeling very lazy. I think it's a combo my unexpected day off & knowing I'll have the next 3 days off. I want to stretch it to 4 days off & call in. But today is payday, & I still have stocking stuffers to get. I know, I know, nothing like waiting until the last minute. But I'm not as bad as Hubby, he does ALL his Holiday shopping on Christmas Eve!!

I'm Baaaack!!

I got an unexpcted day off from work today. Every morning I drop Savannah off at school then get myself to work by 8:00. Lucky for me school & work are with-in 3 miles of home!! Anyway, she was having one of her typical 13 year-old meltdowns this morning about her hair. {I'm so sure I was never like that LOL!!!} I dropped her off, got to work, packed away my purse & lunch, got out my pen & call log, then just as I finished sweeping the voice mail, my cell rings. The school nurse at Savannah's school was sending her home because she had a runny nose, cough, and "didn't feel good". Geesh. When I was in school, unless you were projectile vomiting, & had a fever of 101 or higher you just "toughed it out". OK, that was more my Mother's rule, but schools didn't send kids home for the sniffles. So, I had to stay home w/ her because Sean wasn't able to, and I got one, yes one, layout done! I've hit a creative block, in creating both kits & layouts. I get ideas, but can't seem to get them "on paper" so to speak, the way I like. I'm blaming it on the ribbons. They've totally threw off my game!! LOL! So, this very simple layout took me 3 days to complete & about 3 hours today just to finish!! I figured after all that work I should show it off. It's not the greatest pic of Riley, but not the worst either!! So here it is ~

OK. So, many of you were here {again & again & again LOL} checking to see when or if part #19 was ever going to be posted, but didn't want to be "pests" and bother me w/ where I was. I would never think you were being pests!! Just kind, gentle friends wondering what's up. I don't even remember what was happening to cause me to forget!! We'll just stick to the excuse posted by NjO ~ I had Holiday Fever which made me forget what I was doing!! {BTW ~ yup, no Doctors excuse ~ I couldn't find one to diagnose the symptoms!!} LOL You may not have called me out on missing a day, but you you did let me know I had a repeat photo prong in part #19. {It had a ribbon on it, & you know how those ribbons have been giving me such a hard time!! If didn't love making & using them so much, I'd put them in a time-out!! LOL} So, for today, part #21 will include the correct photo prong with a pink ribbon, as well as 3 solid ribbons {now remember, there are ribbons in this download, so beware!!! LOL} ~

No One Caught This???!!!

Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

Well, we did get our little 4' tree, got it up, but have yet to decorate. Hubby hangs the lights, & he was too tired last night to do it. I hung them one year & he got sooo upset I "didn't do it right", so I no longer do it. That's his job while I supervise the girls on hanging the ornaments. The girls decided they really love all our old ornaments so we litterly dug the box of Christmas decorations out of storage. Both hubby & I have ornaments from when we were kids & I have some that were my mother's when she was much, much younger! The girls LOVE just to look at them each year. I saw an article in a magaine a couple years back about how collecting old ornaments has become the hot new trend, and after seeing some of their samples of them from the 30's to the 60's, I realized that some of the ones I have from the 40's are probably collectables. Not that I'd ever sell any, they have too much sentimental value!! Oh, I did get a paper chain made (I really enjoy making paper chains!! LOL) but the rest of the family didn't want one on the tree, although we will never fit all we have from storage on our little tree, they'd rather fill it with them. So my paper chain will go to work with me & decorate the front of my reception desk.

Man, I just can't get it right this week! First, sorry about the link for the blue ribbon being disabled. I didn't intend to do that, but that's what happens when you attempt these things in the morning while trying to make sure 3 girls are getting ready for school (no easy task I assure you!!) & are running late. Then to top it off, the ribbon in yeterday's download was again, the wrong one!! These ribbons are getting the best of me this week!! LOL!!

Getting Sick

It's happening.... sore throats, runny/stuffy noses, coughing etc. have hit our family. So far I'm feeling fine (knocking on wood!! LOL) but Savannah, Sean & Darien are getting sore throats, and Savannah and Darien have the runny/stuffy noses. But, they have not gotten too sick to go to school!! They are getting mega-doses of OJ & to bed early each night because I do not want this getting worse ~ or getting me!!

Day 12 ~ And the Countdown Begins....

The girls are so excited only 12 more days until Christmas; despite the fact we have not decorated, gotten a tree, or even began shopping for gifts!! We had to move unexpectadly in July (our landlord sold the house we were renting) and you'd think 30 days would be enough time to find another house to rent, but not where we are in AZ. Anyway, we ended up in an apartment with most of our belongings in storage. Including the Christmas decrations. And going from a 1700 SF, 3 bedroom house to a 1000 SF, 2 bedroom apt. makes it difficult to find a place for a tree!! I've always had a live tree since I was a kid. The smell of one reminds me of Christmas when I was younger & Dad would take us out in the woods to find the perfect tree to cut. Ahhh the memories......

LOL I've seen so many freestyle LOs, but could never seem to master one, but was determined to use this kit & freestyle away!! I love the way it turned out & will have to give it another try. Silly Me

It was brought to my attention that I announced part #6 for today instead of part #5. It was 5:30 AM when I posted it, & I guess my brain wasn't totally awake! LOL
Unfortunately, the remainder of my day pretty much went the same. It seemed like if I didn't write down what someone just told me, I completely forgot what we discussed!! The company I work for manufactures custom made iron products such as front entry doors, security screen doors, pool fenicng, gates, railing, etc. Anyway, I schedule all the installs & today just went to hell in a hand basket. It seemed that everything went wrong. My manager called me to discuss the day & who we had to call to reschedule & for when. I mistakenly wrote down a customer's name, who was scheduled today for one crew, to reschedule for tomorrow. I called the customer to let them know the crew was unable to make the install & we had to reschedule. The customer was P.O.!! He yelled & screamed at me, wouldn't let me get in a word edgewise, then hung up on me. When I called my manager to let him know I didn't get anywhere w/ him in rescheuling, he said "No, no, that as the wrong client!!!" I tried calling the client back, but he wouldn't answer the phone!! I left a voice mail pleading for forgiveness, appoligized profusely, and let him know the install was still going to happen. Luckly, he called back a bit later & accepted my appology. I was so ready to go home at that point!! LOL
I'm now off to enjoy Riley in both her choir& band concerts tonight.
Back in the morning with part #6!! LOL
